On April 22, after months of hard work, Javier’s advocate was able to have his birth certificate issued.
The process began in June 2021 and resumed in early 2022. With the help of Mi Valedor, and thanks to the support provided by the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Javier can now enjoy and exercise his right to identity.
At Mi Valedor, we make a diagnosis of the state of the partner Javier at the time of admission, as well as during his stay. This is how it was identified that Javier, who has been a partner since 2018, did not have a birth certificate. This document will be the beginning of several other processes, such as the voter's credential and his access to an adult education school. We are happy for you, Javier!
