One of our most beloved allied institutions, the Iztapalapa Historical Archive, completed 11 years of uninterrupted work documenting and safeguarding the memory of that territory. As part of the celebration activities, we were invited to present the Mi Valedor project on the City Hall esplanade, where local artisans and producers, as well as other social and editorial projects also participated.
The table was made up of our Director of Communication Arturo Soto, the valedor Alejandro Peña (who shared his experience in the project, specifically being a migrant refugee from Venezuela) and the teacher Beatriz RamÃrez, director of the Archive. In addition, the Museum of Photography Archive, another great ally of Mi Valedor, shared with us valuable historical images of Iztapalapa that we exhibited in the Archive’s outer space and that were donated to the collection of the mayor’s office.
We thank the Historical Archive of Iztapalapa for the invitation and we congratulate them for this great work.

In the company of the anthropologist Fabrizio Pistillo, the advocates created a dictionary in which they established what various terms commonly used in social policy instruments directed at socially excluded people mean to them. These concepts are often discussed in academic circles, but with this exercise, we open up the space to understand what those […]
