Our supporters had the privilege of visiting the Museum of Folk Art, a space full of history, culture, and traditional Mexican art. During this tour, they were able to immerse themselves in the richness of crafts that represent the diverse regions of the country, from textiles to pieces made of clay, wood, and ceramics.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to learn about the work artisans do, as well as the stories behind each piece on display. The experience was guided by museum staff, who shared interesting and enriching facts about the artists’ creative processes and the importance of preserving Mexican traditions.

The most impactful part of this experience was not only the encounter with folk art but also the reflection about collective work and the preservation of our roots. The valedores not only enjoyed the beauty of the pieces but also they formed a direct link with the history of our country.

Thanks to The Museum of Popular Art for letting us live this moment!
It was a space where valedores could connect with the art and history of Mexico, whilst sharing experiences and and enjoying a unqiue cultural day.

Mi Valedor took part in the Pride edition of the Espacio Fotográfico Bazaar, a cultural and artistic gathering held at Casa Refugio Citlaltépetl. Throughout the weekend, the team shared the space with a wide range of independent artists and visual projects, reinforcing the organization’s presence at events that celebrate diversity, foster inclusion, and strengthen community connections.
On June 23, the Mi Valedor team took part in a special guided tour at the Museum of Modern Art. As they explored the galleries, the group had the opportunity to discover one of the most significant private collections of Mexican art from the twentieth century, while sharing an enriching experience of learning and community.
