The beating heart of transfeminist resistance found its gathering place at Café Xiu, right across from the Transfeminist Art Museum, where an afternoon full of art, community, and pride came to life.
Amid warm coffees, honest conversations, and art hanging on the walls, valedora Erika showed up with full energy and spirit, bringing along valedora merch—stickers, pins, t-shirts, and publications packed with meaning, design, and the power of self-management. With her smile and vibrant energy, Erika shared with everyone who stopped by the work we do at Mi Valedor, and how each purchase helps support real processes of social transformation.
The space filled with curious visitors, allies, independent artists, and activists—all within a safe and loving atmosphere. The afternoon felt like a blend of a fair, a coffee date with friends, and a political act.
At Mi Valedor, we’re incredibly proud to see our valedoras taking up space, sharing their stories, and representing everything we believe in: that culture, when shared from the ground up, has the power to transform.
Thank you to Café Xiu for opening up the space, and to the Transfeminist Art Museum for continuing to foster spaces of expression, resistance, and radical tenderness. And thank you, Erika, for your valedora strength.
See you at the next gathering point!
