Kantón 17 and Isocrone brought to life the first edition of “Drawings and Poetry: Fanzine and Self-Publishing Harvest” in Mexico City, an event that overflowed with creativity and talent in every corner. This gathering was a true tribute to independent culture, blending visual art, poetry, music, and the magic of self-managed fanzines.
But best of all, Mi Valedor was there!
The event transformed Kantón 17 into a living gallery, where art and poetry flowed freely. Attendees immersed themselves in a sea of illustrations, murals, and poetry readings, exploring the diversity of voices and expressions from the city’s independent artists. Each work told a story, sparked reflection, or simply transmitted the vibrant energy of the urban creative scene.

The heart of the event beat strongly with the fanzine fair. Emerging and established creators showcased their self-published works, inviting the public to take home exclusive fanzines, comics, and books. Each publication was a unique gem, reflecting the essence of underground culture and the autonomy of independent creators.

The Valedores shared a selection of graphic works that captured the essence of urban life, inclusion, and the transformative power of art. Each piece was an invitation to think, feel, and reflect on the city and the hidden stories within it. Exclusive Mi Valedor publications were also featured. Visitors had the chance to purchase the latest edition of the magazine and other products created by the Valedores, supporting independent and socially engaged art.
