It is always an achievement to publish a new print issue of our new magazine and we love to share this joy with our readers. On August 29 we had the honor of presenting Luces, cámara, Valedor!, the 33rd issue of Mi Valedor magazine, at the Museo Universitario del Chopo.
This edition deals with one of the most recurrent tastes of Mexicans: cinema. Using photographs, infographics and texts, the issue takes us on a documentary and imaginative journey through the expressions of the seventh art and the way in which we have appropriated it in popular culture.
The talk counted with the participation of Christian Cañibe, from the office Éramos tantos, Cristina Pérez, volunteer coordinator of Mi Valedor and the valedor Fredi, who shared his story as a street inhabitant since he was 6 years old and his current situation of stability under a roof with the support of the organization.
During the presentation we were able to share our thoughts on film and listen to the Valedor’s talk about their favorite movies and childhood memories. Thank you to all who attended.
Thank you for joining us and being part of this project!
